Netscaler Authentication loop? The last time I got the information that after updating the Netscaler appliance to version 13.1 the login prompt comes again and again. Users are then no longer able to log in. I recently had this problem even when configuring an appliance with version 13.1 -45.61, which is the latest version.
Where does the error occur?
For me, all registrations went without problems. Both the login to the Citrix Workspace website worked normally and the login to the Citrix Workspace apps for Apple iOS and Android worked as it should. The login via Stratodesk thinclients also worked perfectly.
Only when logging in via the Citrix Workspace app for Windows, the login screen kept coming up. After logging in 2 times with the correct username, the message came up that the Workspace App could not be configured. Also the configuration via the configuration file of the website, brought only the message that the discovery files can not be downloaded.
So it was simply not possible to log in via the Windows Workspace app and I had the Netscaler authentication loop.
What is the solution?
After a long search I found that the problem must be related to the session policies. Normally I always configure a longer timeout for the sessions. In this case, however, I had agreed with the customer on the 30 minutes. This is also the default, so I just adopted the default. But not explicitly set in the policy.
The workaround for the bug is to set the session timeouts fixed in the policy, then the error no longer occurs and the login works normally again.
